When designing a vehicle there are a multitude of factors to consider.

With regards to the engine it will need to conform with multiple laws , meet end user requirements, be durable, reliable and more. In addition it must fit the requirements of multiple countries without changing the vehicles software or mechanical properties.

What this means is that the vehicle is not tuned for optimum performance on our roads.

 

What we do is essentially download a copy of your ECU on to our computer, we then arrange for it to be adjusted to suit your business and re-install this new file onto the vehicles ECU.

 

By adjusting the commands the ECU sends to the engine we can reduce the amount of fuel used, lower emissions and increase torque. We are also able to add functions to the ECU, including speed and rev limitations.

 

The Cost

Vehicles up to 3.5T - £245.00 Some vehicles are excluded from this price (i.e. Ford F-Series , Iveco Daily)

Vehicles over 3.5T - £495.00

 

If your site is based more than 20 miles from NR32 1SG then travel and accommodation charges may apply. Generally these equate to £1.00 / mile each way plus £50.00 - £90.00 for overnight accommodation (depending on area).

To give you peace of mind we offer a trial period where by if you aren’t happy with the results we will come back and return the vehicles back to standard. Once complete we will refund you for the remap.

Unfortunately any travel/accommodation costs will not be eligible for refund.

This offer is available on all vehicle types. It is up to you whether you wish to trial all HGV’s, same/different makes, LCV’s or cars.

It is second nature for us to look for a cheaper alternative, however these can come with consequences.

The ‘plug & play’ products you see on the internet (such as Ebay & Amazon) are certainly an appealing option however they are a classic case of ‘you get what you pay for’, many of these products can actually cause your ECU to malfunction, damage the engine and the drivetrain. This is because they do not take into consideration the vehicles mileage, health condition, safe operating limits etc. They will generally use the same performance increase across all makes and models of vehicle. In addition to this, the likelihood of you being able to talk to a technician after buying their product is highly unlikely.

 

Before we carry out any work on your vehicle we will ask for further information relating to the vehicle, such as mileage, road use, gross weight etc so that we can tailor the remap to each vehicle individually.

 

Warranties, Legality & Insurance Under the EU Block exemption law it is illegal for any manufacturer to void your warranty because work has been carried out by a third party. This covers a multitude of areas including ECU tuning, dpf cleaning and servicing.

So long as the products used are of an ‘original equipment’ quality and do not cause any physical damage your warranty will remain unaffected. We can confirm that no vehicle has suffered any damage (electronic or mechanical) from using our service.

 

All of our remaps come with a 24 month software warranty as standard. Should your vehicle have to visit the dealership for an ECU update or re-programming we will happily return and re-install your Economy remap for a fraction of the original cost.

By adding rev & speed limiter to your vehicles you may be able to reduce your insurance premiums. Lower speeds make for fewer collisions.
